Matt, Yang, Walter - we ran into them on Vomo Island and in Suva

Dive Chicks
Our group stayed in the Saweni Beach Apartments, a small hotel located on the beach, 2 km. off the highway between Nadi and Lautoka, on the main island of Viti Levu. With such a large group, we were never all in the same place at the same time. People were always taking off for little side trips here and there; it was fun randomly running into someone you knew in another town!

I spent a lot of time diving and saw some cool stuff: banded sea snakes, soft corals, pipefish, a lionfish, and sharks! - several whitetip reef sharks, a few blacktips and bronze whalers, and a nice zebra shark. On one dive, several of us got attacked by a pair of large (24+") triggerfish defending their territory. We went on a shark feeding dive, but that wasn't as exciting as it sounds. Sure, you're in close proximity to a bunch of sharks, but it really did seem like you were watching a National Geographic special or something. I certainly got a much bigger rush just happening upon a shark during a dive.

I only dove seven days while in Fiji and that wasn't nearly enough. But I did want to spend some time above water and see the top half of the islands.
