Hawaii, 2006

As we were sitting around in the dust last year at Burning Man, Merin reflected that for the money spent on that trip we could have paid for a week in Hawaii - with hotels, running water, flush toilets, and an ocean in which to swim. And thus the seed was planted. This summer, Merin, Rusty, Aneel, Jenny, Kristin, Dan, Charlotte, Frederick, and I traveled to the Big Island of Hawaii for a week of frolicking and umbrella drinks. It was the first time in ages I had vacationed with a group, and we all had a blast; good things are great when you can share them with friends.
